Starting in the capital Antananarivo, you will travel to Diego Suarez and the coastal village of Ramena, between the lush forests of Amber Mountain, the spectacular Red Tsingy, and Ankarana National Park.
Heading south, you will cross the wild landscapes of Antsohihy and Ampijoroa, before reaching the rainforest of Andasibe and the High Plateau towns of Antsirabe and Ambositra, the heart of Malagasy craftsmanship.
The journey continues through the tropical forests of Ranomafana, the Betsileo villages of Ambalavao, and Ranohira, dominated by the dramatic landscapes of Isalo National Park.
Your adventure ends on the shores of the Indian Ocean, between the pristine beaches of Anakao, Sarodrano, and the coastal city of Tuléar, offering a complete immersion into the natural and cultural diversity of the Great Island.
Personal welcome at Antananarivo International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the city center. Overnight at Chato Park Hotel or similar.
Day 2 – Antananarivo → Antsiranana → Ramena (30 km – approx. 40 min)
Domestic flight to Diego Suarez. Discovery of this historic port city, then continuation to the fishing village of Ramena. Overnight at Lakana Beach Resort or similar.
Day 3 – Ramena → Joffreville → Ramena
Hike in Amber Mountain National Park, followed by an afternoon visit to the Montagne des Français with panoramic views over the bay. Overnight at Lakana Resort.
Day 4 – Ramena & the Emerald Sea
Boat excursion to the Emerald Sea and Suarez Island. Afternoon visit to the Three Bays and Orangea Reserve. Overnight at Lakana Resort.
Day 5 – Ramena → Red Tsingy → Ankarana East
Visit the Red Tsingy formations, then continue to Ankarana National Park. Overnight at Relais d’Ankarana.
Day 6 – Ankarana → Antsohihy
Morning exploration of Ankarana National Park, then long drive south. Overnight at Hôtel Belle Vue or similar.
Day 7 – Antsohihy → Ampijoroa
Drive to Ankarafantsika National Park. Evening nocturnal walk to observe wildlife. Overnight at Ampijoroa Lodge.
Day 8 – Ampijoroa
Full day exploring Ankarafantsika National Park: Ravelobe Canyon, lake and baobabs. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 9 – Ampijoroa → Antananarivo
Return drive to the capital. Overnight at Havana Resort or similar.
Day 10 – Antananarivo → Andasibe
Visit Peyrieras Reserve en route. Afternoon at Mitsinjo Reserve and night walk. Overnight at Sahatandra River Lodge.
Day 11 – Andasibe
Visit Andasibe-Mantadia National Park and Vakona Reserve. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 12 – Andasibe → Antsirabe
Scenic drive via Ambatolampy. City tour of Antsirabe by rickshaw. Overnight at H1 Antsirabe.
Day 13 – Antsirabe → Ambositra
Visit Tritriva Lake, artisan workshops in Ambositra, then continuation to Antaniditra. Overnight at Ivato River Lodge.
Day 14 – Ambositra → Ranomafana
Drive to Ranomafana with stop at the Arboretum. Overnight at Centrest Séjour.
Day 15 – Ranomafana → Ambalavao
Hike in Ranomafana National Park and visit Antaimoro paper workshop. Overnight at Betsileo Country Lodge.
Day 16 – Ambalavao → Ranohira
Visit Anja Reserve and a Bara village en route. Overnight at H1 Isalo.
Day 17 – Isalo National Park
Full-day hike in Isalo: canyons, natural pools and dramatic landscapes. Overnight at the lodge.
Days 18–20 – Ranohira → Ifaty
Drive to Ifaty via Tuléar. Free time by the beach. Overnight at Bamboo Club.
Day 21 – Ifaty → Tuléar → Antananarivo
Domestic flight back to the capital. Overnight near the airport.
Day 22 – Departure
Transfer to Ivato International Airport. End of our services.
